Web workspace
Use the Web workspace for supported links, account-owned notes, reading, search and downloads. Your account controls access to Web notes. A browser can open a saved note without installing Desktop.
Companion
Companion assists supported browser sources. Its destination selection matters: Web workspace uses the connected Web account; Desktop Power Mode uses the local application. Reading a source and choosing where its note belongs are separate decisions.
Desktop Power Mode
Choose Windows Desktop for local video files, local tasks, local notes, device-local Collections and exports. The Desktop library can also display accessible Web notes for the current account, but this does not turn local Collections into cloud-synced Collections.
Before switching destinations
Confirm the source, destination and account shown by Companion. Complete or stop the current operation explicitly before starting a different one. Switching a UI language does not translate an existing note or alter the output language of a running generation.
